In her blog BACK TO BLUEBERRY HILL, Kate shares her AirStone adventure…transforming the dated green marble on her fireplace! She reports that “we are absolutely loving our new fireplace. Amazing how just one change makes such a big impact on the rest of this space. It truly ties everything together.” Thanks Kate, and you can read her entire blog by clicking on this link.

I have been working on a project around my fireplace the past couple of days. I think it’s a great product and it looks awesome if I do say so myself. That is a limestone hearth that weighed a ton installing. But I couldn’t be happier with the way it turned out. — Dan

I was a little intimidated when I started this project as I am not a handyman at all but it was very simple. Tips for installation: Chalk or draw some horizontal lines on your surface before you start so you can keep reasonably level. Pieces adhere to almost any surface. I put them over existing tile and drywall. You will occasionally need to cut some small pieces. I used a circular saw for the first half then went to a mitre saw and the pieces were very easy to cut. I had approximately 120 sq ft with several openings, fireplace, etc. and the project took me about 20 hours. The first 3 hours or so went very slowly as I was learning on the job but then it picked right up. Great finished look and fun project. I am looking for my next spot to rock right away! — Don
