On today’s episode of The Rachel Ray show (9/26/17), Rachel shared DIY decor tips from Karen and Mina…the mom and daughter team behind HGTV’s “Good Bones.”
If you don’t have the money to do a full renovation in your new home, Mina has the perfect alternative…AirStone!
Mina points out that when it comes to an accent wall — or an eyesore cover-up — you have more options than just painting or adding wallpaper. You can also opt for faux stone, which will offer you a more textured (and impressive!) look. AirStone to the rescue!
In her blog Pine and Prospect Home, Andrea shares her DIY fireplace makeover and provides a great AirStone tutorial. “I love coming downstairs to this view! Every time I see my fireplace now, I just smile so big! Cheesy, I know!! I just can’t believe that I finally have a stone fireplace!” You can catch her entire post here….

Now when you’re trying to determine how much AirStone you’ll need for your next project, our new improved calculator will figure it for you by not just calculating cartons, but it will also account for the area taken up by corners and edge pieces, and deduct that from the flats you need. You can find it on our Collections and our Installation pages!
In a recent episode of BATH CRASHERS on the DIY Network (Season 12, Episode 10), a small moldy bathroom is transformed into a large, warm, well-lit space featuring spa-like amenities. A large hammered copper slipper tub catches the eye first, along with a 2-sided ‘look through’ fireplace surrounded AirStone in the Autumn Mountain color. The space is completed with an accent wall made of copper pennies-turned-into-tiles, and a towel rack/towel bar fashioned from copper pipe! What an awesome effect!
Jenni Radosevich of ISpyDIY.com appeared on “Good Morning America” today with some projects to help you spruce up your home for the holidays. Radosevich says faux fireplaces are all the rage right now and you can create your own using a used mantel, AirStone/faux brick, lumber, plywood sheets and birchwood! “This AirStone is insane…it’s so light!” said Radosevich.
In her blog, Domestic Imperfection (“where it’s all about DIY décor, home renovation, craftiness, and real life!”) Ashley documents her guest room re-do, featuring AirStone…
“Since deciding to re-do the guest room, I knew I wanted something interesting on the wall behind the bed. What I was after was TEXTURE. Big, beautiful, neutral texture!
“The AirStone wall is really what makes the room,. Without that wall it would just be your standard nice guest bedroom, but nothing to write home about. Adding the stone gives it that wow factor and was completely worth all the time it took to install (which was mostly because I was super pregnant and everything hurt)!”
On the Series Premier of HOME FREE on FOX, nine couples compete for their dream home in a five day renovation challenge. AirStone “Spring Creek” is used to enhance the overall appearance of the outdoor pergola, which was part of the competition.
