Seal your backsplash!

Just a reminder that like natural stone, AirStone can absorb food splatters and/or grease. We do recommend applying a sealer when using AirStone as a kitchen backsplash, or an outdoor kitchen.  Use a high-quality brand for concrete, masonry, or porous stone.  Apply to a test piece first, to make sure the results are what you want (some sealers and enhancers can darken the stone).  Sealers are available in a high gloss, a light gloss, or absolutely no gloss at all.  Follow the manufacturer’s directions and reapply as instructed (in general, it’s best to apply a THIN coat and let it dry thoroughly before applying another coat).  Thanks to Matt for sharing his Spring Creek backsplash project photo with us!
